As a developer, something that contributes to feelings of burnout is constantly dealing with faults, and software that has not yet been completed.

An antidote to this I find, is to carve out some time for tech that I love, and that just works.

An old, battle tested video game, that I know how to use and have muscle memory for, is a great antidote for the feeling that I want to throw everything electronic in my house out of the window. Given enough time with tech that I love, I start to fall back in love with the process of working with tech that I don't.
